The mission of the Dodge County Hazardous Materials Team is to provide county fire and rescue departments and the citizens of Dodge County, specialized equipment, training, and personnel for the protection of life, property and the environment from emergencies normally not considered a primary emergency service provided by local fire and rescue departments.

In the event of a hazardous materials incident occurring in Dodge County, the county hazardous materials response team is prepared to respond whether the incident is a small spill or is called for a full scale response.

The Hazmat Team is on call 24 hours a day and if an incident occurs they are paged by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Department after a decision by the Dodge County Office of Emergency Management. The Dodge County Hazmat Team is capable of responding to a major hazmat incident, offering technical assistance and also performing decontamination, if needed.
